Chemical Processing

We manufacture and sell industrial brush plating solutions and auxiliary brush plating equipment.  We also provide job shop brush plating services at all of our production facilities, as well as on-site, worldwide.

For fifty years customers have relied on SIFCO to fulfill their needs for brush plating and specialty applications. During this time our vision and distinctive way of thinking helped to guide our efforts in research and development to improve the process, constantly striving for ways to make it easier, faster, and better for our customers. We have evolved beyond the simple, manual method traditionally used in brush plating and now offer semi-automated and fully automated options to supplement our selective, brush plating business.

At SIFCO, we recognize the importance of adding value to the bottom line. We offer flexible, comprehensive solutions, along with implementation and assistance that address your specific component surface enhancement requirements. Whether it is surface enhancement services, customized equipment design, or application assistance, we work closely with you to offer value-added capabilities that contribute to the ultimate success of your business.  Some of these capabilities include:

  • An in-line, lean manufacturing approach
  • Surface enhancement of select areas of parts
  • Speed & flexibility
  • Superior technical expertise
  • Quality results

SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts provides practical, cost-effective solutions for surface enhancement to improve part performance and reduce manufacturing costs through corrosion protection, increased wear resistance, increased hardness, improved conductivity, anti-galling or slip. Our surface enhancement technologies and services are utilized on both OEM components and on parts requiring refurbishment.

Our success began a half century ago with the SIFCO Process of selective, brush plating that has been continually refined and advanced enabling us to offer flexible service options, engineering and design capabilities, as well as complete process automation to meet our customers' changing needs.

Our unique vision, sharpened by these successes, affords us a creative edge in managing surface enhancement challenges. SIFCO is committed to meeting and exceeding the high levels of quality demanded by our most discerning customers. Our competent technical support staff backs all our technologies, services and products. Complete satisfaction is a constant goal in our customer-supplier partnerships, as is a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of our business operations.

Unique Vision Provides the Finishing Touch

Selective brush plating is the foundation upon which our company was built. It is an electrochemical process used to electroplate, anodize or electropolish localized areas. Several application benefits have made brush plating a viable and economical solution to many surface engineering challenges. Seeking out these types of advantages is how we have built our reputation and success. Some of these advantages include:

  • Ideal for lean, single-piece flow production operations
  • Selective application - coatings only where you need them
  • Controlled deposit thickness that minimizes or eliminates post machining
  • Does not require a tank or extensive masking
  • Eliminates the need for disassembly and shipment of components

Through the development and perfection of this process we have acquired a firm understanding of the intricacies of surface engineering which allows us to offer more options to our customers.
